DESCRIPTION OF SUPPORT
Jasna Babič has received funding under sub-measure 6.1 "Start-up aid for young farmers for 2021" of the Rural Development Programme of the Republic of Slovenia 2014-2020 to set up her farm and to start up her farm. The financial assistance "Start-up aid for young farmers for 2021" is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
SUMMARY
Jasna Babič has received financial support under sub-measure 6.1 "Start-up aid for young farmers for 2021". She has undertaken to carry out agricultural activities on the farm taken over in accordance with the planned objectives until the end of 2024. She will increase the production capacity on the farm, increase the competitiveness of the farm taken over, introduce innovations and contribute to the positive environmental impact of agriculture by investing in fixed assets on the farm. The young transferee will set up the accounts for primary agricultural production in her own name.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
The farm taken over by Jasna Babič is oriented towards mixed crop production, namely the production of grapes, olives and fruit. It will increase the amount of farmland cultivated and, through investment in fixed assets, will innovate on the farm and contribute to reducing the environmental impact of agriculture.
OBJECTIVES
- economic development of the farm: to increase the volume of production and to increase the competitiveness of the agricultural holding;
- to contribute to the achievement of the horizontal objectives of innovation and environmental protection through the management of the farm.
EXPECTED RESULTS
- Increased volume and diversity of production on the farm.
- Increased farm income and earnings.

Title of the Investment: IRP11 Support for New Participation in Quality Schemes
TITLE OF THE INTERVENTION AND OPERATION:
- Public call for the intervention Support for New Participation in Quality Schemes. Participation in the IRP11 intervention Support for New Participation in Quality Schemes with the product Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
SHORT DESCRIPTION
Increasing the added value of our products through participation in quality schemes is one of the key strategic directions of our farm. By joining the IRP11 intervention, we benefit from the coverage of costs incurred by participating in an eligible quality scheme. To receive funding under the IRP11 intervention, an annual certificate must be obtained, which requires compliance with all conditions set forth in the Specification for Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the Slovenian Istria quality scheme PDO (Protected Designation of Origin). This is verified through strict inspections conducted by the control organization.
OBJECTIVES
• Increased availability of quality scheme products on the market,
• Enhancing the added value of agricultural and food products,
• Strengthening the interconnectedness of agricultural holdings.
RESULTS
• Improved product recognition on store shelves,
• Achieving higher sales prices due to added value,
• Increased sales revenue.
